UNSURE whether my workshops are right for you?  Feel free to email questions:  slonimdavid@gmail.com.

Common Questions:

Q:  Can I paint in acrylics or watercolor?

A:  Yes!  The only restriction, for health reasons, is no pastels.  I wil be painting and demonstrating in oils. (solvent-free! I'll show you how to paint and clean up without destroying brain cells, getting depressed, or developing cancer from paint thinners).

Q:  What if I don't want to paint abstracts?

A:  No problem!  I teach principles of visual communication that apply to any style or genre.

We'll look at master slides by artists like Wyeth, Degas, Rembrandt, Velasquez, Sargent, Sorolla, Chardin, Cezanne, Inness, Vermeer, Levitan and many others.  This workshop is for every painter.

Q:  I don't enjoy laughing, good music, or being creatively inspired in a group of like-minded art friends.  Is this the right workshop for me?

A:  Sorry, but no!  This is going to be a fun, upbeat, and energizing week designed to refresh you.

“The strength of the design and composition in these classes has not been equaled or even approached in other classes and workshops I’ve taken.” – G.H.

YOUR GROWTH IS THE PRIORITY

Your growth as an artist will accelerate as we study great artists and unlock the universal secrets of image structure.

“The best workshop I’ve ever taken.” – J.K.

At a primal level, it's this abstract image structure that moves us-- the use of line, shape, space, value, color, and texture.  This applies to any style or genre of painting.

"Best workshop I've taken in 20 years of workshops."

- D. B.

PAINT IN YOUR STYLE

In this workshop you can paint your way. Helping other artists exceed their own expectations is one of the most enjoyable things I ever get to do.

The plan is always to help you reach your potential, painting YOUR way, with YOUR voice and vision, but better than ever before.

Mastery of abstract visual language is the key to connecting with your audience in any style and genre.

Come be encouraged, inspired, and energized.

For me, the joy of teaching is helping you succeed and surpass your own expectations.
